Dr. Ammar undertook his medical training in Syria before moving to the United States for post-graduate training. He specialised in Ophthalmology at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Professor Gemmy Cheung is the Arthur Lim Professor in Ophthalmology at Duke-NUS Medical School, National University of Singapore (NUS). Dr. El-Ghrably, MS, PhD, FRCOphth is a staff physician in the eye institute at Cleveland clinic Abu Dhabi. He did large number of ocular surgeries including: 4000 phacoemulsification with intraocular lens and nearly 1000 of Vitreoretinal surgeries. He was actively involved in research and been awarded a PhD degree from Nottingham University, UK in 2000. He was the principle investigator for some clinical trials e.g MERLOT and Comrade clinical trials at JCUH. Dr. Marie Aouad Maroun
